My Story

Welcome to We Achievers! Thank you for visiting and taking a moment to read my story.

I’m Rubina Tasneem Siddiqui. I came to the UK from India in the early 2000s to pursue higher education. Although I was excited, I initially felt uncertain and vulnerable, wondering how I would manage in a country so advanced and different from my own.

Over the years, I encountered many experiences and challenges that shaped who I am today. I always felt a strong desire to help others, and in 2015, I found myself starting out in volunteering. I began by hosting tea and coffee mornings for a group of Asian women, which then led to my work at the Chadwell Heath Community Centre and the honour of meeting the late Queen.

My family will tell you I love to work – but only when it comes to community work. My passion for supporting others is at the heart of everything I do, and I hope those who know me would agree.

I founded We Achievers because I met so many individuals in the community, often women from ethnic minority backgrounds, who reminded me of myself 20 years ago. I saw the potential in them and wanted to help them find their inner confidence, manage their vulnerabilities, and discover the opportunities to pursue their dreams. My belief is simple: “If I can, they can.”

There’s no secret recipe for success, but for me, volunteering has been a life-changing tool. At We Achievers, our mission is to guide others towards achieving their aspirations through volunteering, offering them a pathway to success. Our vision is to connect with those who need support, empower them, and help them realise their ambitions.
